One Year Limited Warranty

Warranty

Declassified Watch Company warrants each watch against manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the original date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur under normal use. If a covered manufacturing defect is found during the warranty period, Declassified Watch Company will, at its discretion, repair the watch, replace the defective component, or take other reasonable corrective action.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the watch, including defects related to the movement, case construction, dial, hands, crown, or other components when the defect is the result of workmanship or materials and not the result of misuse, accident, improper handling, or unauthorized service.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized handling. Exclusions include, but are not limited to:

  • Scratches, dents, marks, discoloration, or cosmetic wear to the crystal, case, bezel, crown, dial, hands, band, strap, bracelet, buckle, clasp, or other exterior components.

  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, crushing, shock, accident, abuse, intentional damage, or improper use.

  • Damage caused by opening the case, attempting repairs, modifying the watch, or allowing anyone other than Declassified Watch Company or an approved service provider to service the watch.

  • Damage to the movement or internal components caused by unauthorized case opening, improper adjustment, contamination, mishandling, or foreign material entering the watch.

  • Water intrusion or moisture damage caused by improper use, including failure to fully screw down or secure the crown, exposing the watch to water beyond its stated water-resistance rating, operating the crown or pushers while wet or submerged, or exposing the watch to conditions beyond its intended specifications.

  • Damage caused by chemicals, solvents, cleaning agents, extreme temperatures, magnetic fields, excessive vibration, or other environmental exposure.

  • Straps, leather bands, fabric bands, rubber straps, bracelets, buckles, clasps, and other wearable components subject to normal use and wear, unless a manufacturing defect is present at the time of delivery.

Water Resistance

Water resistance is not permanent and may be affected by age, impact, temperature changes, seal condition, crown position, and service history. Any stated water-resistance rating applies only when the watch is used properly and all crowns, casebacks, and seals are correctly secured.

Water damage is not covered if the crown was not fully secured, if the watch was used beyond its stated depth rating, or if water intrusion resulted from misuse, accident, age, improper maintenance, or unauthorized service.

Unauthorized Service

Any attempt to open, modify, repair, regulate, or service the watch by anyone other than Declassified Watch Company or an approved service provider may void this warranty. This includes removing the caseback, accessing the movement, replacing internal parts, modifying the case, or attempting adjustments without authorization.

Warranty Service

To request warranty service, please contact Declassified Watch Company at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com with your name, contact information, proof of purchase, watch model, serial number if applicable, and a description of the issue.

The customer may be responsible for shipping, insurance, customs, duties, or related transportation costs unless otherwise agreed in writing. Watches sent for service should be securely packaged and insured for their full value.

Declassified Watch Company will inspect the watch to determine whether the issue is covered by this warranty. If the issue is not covered, Declassified Watch Company may provide a repair estimate before performing any non-warranty work.

Limitation

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is limited to manufacturing defects as described above. No other warranty, express or implied, is provided unless required by applicable law.

Declassified Watch Company is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use, loss of use, or servicing of the watch.

Summary

Your watch is covered for one year against manufacturing defects. It is not covered for scratches, wear, accidents, water damage from improper use, unauthorized service, or damage caused by opening the case or mishandling the movement.

Warranty & Service FAQ

Do you offer routine maintenance?

Yes. Mechanical watches are machines, and like any precision machine, they benefit from periodic inspection and maintenance. Declassified Watch Company offers routine service, inspection, timing checks, regulation, cleaning, and other maintenance services depending on the watch and its condition.

Routine maintenance is not covered under the manufacturing defect warranty unless the work is required because of a covered manufacturing defect.

How often should my watch be serviced?

Service intervals depend on how the watch is used, stored, and worn. As a general guideline, a mechanical watch should be inspected periodically and serviced when timing performance changes, power reserve drops, winding feels unusual, moisture is suspected, or the watch experiences impact or harsh conditions.

If the watch is running well, routine service may not be immediately necessary. We recommend contacting Declassified Watch Company at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com if you notice a meaningful change in performance.

Do you offer timing checks or health checks?

Yes. Declassified Watch Company offers timing checks and general health checks. A timing check may include measuring rate performance, amplitude, beat error, positional variation, and overall running condition.

A health check is a useful way to evaluate whether the watch is performing normally or whether additional service may be recommended.

Is a timing adjustment covered under warranty?

If a timing issue is caused by a manufacturing defect within the one-year warranty period, it may be covered under warranty. However, timing changes caused by impact, magnetism, wear, misuse, environmental exposure, unauthorized service, or normal mechanical variation are not covered as manufacturing defects.

Mechanical watches are precision instruments, but they are not immune to changes from real-world use.

What should I do if my watch is running fast or slow?

Contact Declassified Watch Company at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com before attempting any adjustment or taking the watch to an unauthorized repair shop. In many cases, the watch may simply need to be checked, regulated, or demagnetized.

Opening the case or attempting unauthorized adjustment may void the warranty.

Do you check water resistance?

Yes. Declassified Watch Company can inspect seals, crown function, and water-resistance condition when appropriate. Water resistance can change over time due to age, impact, temperature changes, crown use, and seal condition.

A water-resistance rating is not a permanent guarantee. Watches exposed to water should be checked periodically, especially before swimming, diving, or repeated water exposure.

Is water damage covered under warranty?

Water damage is not covered if it results from improper use, including failure to fully screw down or secure the crown, using the watch beyond its stated water-resistance rating, operating the crown while wet or submerged, or exposing the watch to conditions beyond its specifications.

If water intrusion is caused by a confirmed manufacturing defect within the warranty period, Declassified Watch Company will evaluate the issue and determine whether warranty coverage applies.

Can another watchmaker service my watch?

We strongly recommend contacting Declassified Watch Company at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com before any service work is performed. Opening the case, modifying the watch, replacing parts, or attempting repairs by anyone other than Declassified Watch Company or an approved service provider may void the warranty.

This is especially important for movement work, regulation, caseback removal, water-resistance components, and any internal adjustment.

Are straps, bands, and bracelets covered?

Straps, leather bands, bracelets, buckles, clasps, and other wearable components are subject to normal wear and are not covered for scratches, marks, stretching, discoloration, staining, or ordinary use.

If a strap, bracelet, buckle, or clasp has a manufacturing defect at the time of delivery, please contact Declassified Watch Company promptly at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com.

What if I drop or damage my watch?

Accidental damage is not covered under the manufacturing defect warranty. However, Declassified Watch Company may be able to inspect the watch and provide a repair estimate.

If the watch experiences a hard impact, we recommend having it checked even if it appears to be running normally.

How do I request service?

To request warranty service, routine maintenance, a timing check, or a health check, please contact Declassified Watch Company at declassifiedwatchco@gmail.com with your name, contact information, watch model, serial number if applicable, proof of purchase if requesting warranty service, and a description of the issue.

Declassified Watch Company will review the request and provide next steps.
